Meeshyell,
I did ask on the dizzy diary how your appointment went but now I know!
As already said I was under the impreassion that you get gearing loss with Labs but not with Neuronitis. I understood this to be the main difference between the two.
I got told a few weeks ago by a GP who used to work in ENT that he thought I had Menieres...when I saw the specialist a week or so later he said "absolutely not"!!
The specialist I saw when through the symptoms of Menieres with me and I am desperately trying to rack my brain to remember what he said but I cant.
The only bits I can remember if it helps at all is that the pressure in the ear felt by sufferers of Menieres comes on with a spinning vertigo attack and then goes when the vertigo goes.
I do hope you get a proper diagnosis soon it sounds like this guy was just making random guesses.
Love
