Hi Mee

Sorry to hear that you are feeling so low after your appointment.Hang in there,he hasn't sent you away without a referral and that is brilliant,Menieres is a fluid related inner ear disorder with spinning vertigo attacks lasting minutes to days without the 24/7 symptoms in between. So he might have picked up on the fluid being related but as he says he does not specialise in this so is sending you through.I have had the menieres diagnoses thrown at me too at one stage, and send on my merry way,no referrals no nothing.Know is frustrating that the waiting game is starting again till you see the next person but it might be a great thing that he is sending you through , see it as another step in the ringt direction and don't get to hung about the menieres diagnoses till you see someone that specialises in the inner ear.

The nystagmus was never visible for me either ,that does not mean that it is not inner ear related or that it can't be anything else then Menieres.Don't get down about it Mee,you got an appointment out of it to see someone that specialises in the inner ear and vestibular disorders and that is what really matters ,try to keep the spirits up as you were doing so well, concentrate on feeling as best you can with the dizzies for the moment and don't let the diagnoses get you down till you see the specialist, who you might not have got to see if it had not been for this appontment.

All the best

Moppie
