Hello all, I am losing a little of my faith once again. Basically I am getting very wierd head sensations, ear pain and the feelin that I can't control my hands and they have no strength, even though I know they do.

I had a few good days early this week and my new glasses today really helped at work, but this wierd feeling seems to linger and is draining my spirit.

What pisses me off the most is I was finally being positive and feeling hopeful it'd all be over, but this has really set me back mentally.

Thumbs up

Cant be much help but all I can say is I HONESTLY feel for you and know exactly how you feel.
We all get these ups and downs as you can tell from my postings Ive had some pretty bad days too.
It must just be part of the "slow but surely" recovery stages we go through with this Labs. And each new or different symptom brings along the ol anxiety with it.
BUT you have done so well so far and Im sure you are on the mend now so dont let it get you down ok
Take care

Tell me about is BLUE, its more the hand weakness that upsets me, because it stops me doing things, even though I know my fingers have strength my brain is telling me no they don't.

I have got the anxiety under the thumb at the moment, when I feel an attack coming on, I sit there and let it come on but don't react, this seems to send it the message of "Look, I'm calm so your not required" and it has worked, so luckily the panic attacks have been removed.

It's hard to stay positive sometimes when this is working its magic, I hope today brings improvements to boost my spirits again!

meyshell, I actually love the winter, bad weather relaxes me so the rain is excellent, the summer actually makes me weak and ill because I'm rather sensitive to heat, so boy am I hoping Labs is gone come summer because I couldn't handle both! I agree though, we need to stay positive, but as everyone knows its hard, especially for me at the moment as I have had, for many weeks, strange bowel movements and have lost nearly 10 pounds, granted this is in tandem with going on lots of walks, eating much healthier and eating less but because I'm me, I worry, having to record my weight for four weeks and to report it back to my GP next week.

I have also had the "Just cuts the bastards out" thought with my ears, your not alone there!

Smile Don't give up

Hi Minsterman
I too used to start thinking that it was near over with the Labs, and then wham, get knocked for 6.
I think at the start of the good days overtaking the bad ones we all get our hopes a little too high thinking this is it, nearly over all this agro.
Now I have learnt not to get over excited about the good days, just enjoy them when they come along, and fingers crossed one day I will get a surprise and all will be good.
But don't give up, just hang on in there for the good ones, and keep your spirits up, I know its hard to have to work at it all the time.
Hey, I wish I was losing weight, eating actually makes me feel better, so I am piling on the pounds I am turning into a right little fat lump.
Hope your days turn into good ones soon.

Love Dizzy Di

Tbh Di, even a good day is massively appreciated after 6 weeks of constantly horrible days. I feel like I am improving to be fair, my symptoms have vastly reduce in severity but because they are still lingering I get angry and frustrated, but in truth this is more managable than before.

7 Weeks anniversary tommorrow, so I am hoping I heal within the 8-12 week timeframe so that I heal up perfectly!

Minsterman, I think I remember you saying you'd never had glasses before? Well getting used to new glasses AWAYS affects my dizziness, and I know it's the same for others too. New glasses or an increase of lens prescription can cause disorientation and headaches, so don't be too down about this. When you're used to them it should improve greatly.
I got slightly stronger lenses last month and although they're so much clearer for reading and the pc, for the first week or two I felt awful.

Actually Pam, the wierd thing for me is the glasses actually improved how I felt, the wierd head pressure and limb weakness filtered away whilst I wore them at work and I felt better wearing them today too, I am not sure if it has anything to do with taking a bit of the strain off of my eyes or not?

But yes your right, I've never worn glasses before in my life, but the improvement is so clear, I can read road signs again and walking around at work where theres tons of signs and movements is no trouble now, my lenses are also speically designed to reduce glare from lights and thats helped.

Maybe I'm just abnormal
