Yes you have helped loads JulieAnne thanks so much especially for taking the time to re type your reply I appreciate it very much !

Your story sounds quite familiar to mine , although my last spell lasted months not weeks and it is the first time ever that I had ear pressure and these kinds of dizzies
but never in the past going in to see the doc have they said labs or VN ! even with all my past testing I was told inner ear nerve damage and ANXIETY ! and everything just tamed down !

My dizzies have calmed to more of a motion sickness type thing over the past 3 weeks this I can handle a bit more although answers would be great

thanks again

Hi there

Julie Anne is right in that labs has hearing loss and vn doenst, the symptoms and treatment is exactly the same though. If you can get a diagnosis mee then the way forward would be vrt if its labs or vn. hope this helps a bit hun

Meeshyell,

No problem at all ...its your post with your questions so dont worry.

I am feeling so much better....I have seen a huge improvement in the last few weeks. The Professor who I see put me on migraine medication about two weeks ago so I dont know if thats made the difference. We will see. I just hated the ear pressure because it made me so miserable. This was a blocked eustacian tube for which he gave me a nasal spray.

Fingers crossed that you will get a proper diagnosis from the specialist that you have been referred to, then you can start to improve.

Love

Thanks again Julie anne and agnes !

I lost all those really horrible symptoms that kept me down 6 or 7 weeks ago ! I do not get spins or nasuas or anything really other than i would say more of a motion sickness type feeling in the head and mostly when I am in the car ! after the car stops if feels like It takes a while for me to settle down inside my head and the tinnitis drives me nutz and at times I have blurry eyes ! but the numbness, heavy wobbly head is gone the feeling of pulling to the right and off balancde rocky swaying is gone as well !

Julie Anne I am so glad to hear you are doing much better ! Did you get any side effects from the nasal spray ? I was given nasonex but it made my heart pound so bad I was to scared to take it ! Does MAV develope after labs ? or have you always had it ?

Wow just had to come back to this point to say although I would have never suspected MAV whatsoever but I just read about through emma's site and I must say does that ever ring my bells loud and clearly !

basically from what I have read , getting my past hearing tests sent up to my new doc should shed some lights as to wether or not my bilateral hearing loss in the lows has progressed rapidly or not to rule out this Menieres diagnosis !

One quick question to those with a MAV diagnosis, do you all ever get the fullness / pressure through the ears and sinus area with it ? I did not see anything about that in there ? also when you all get the dizzy feeling do you get the true vertigo type of spins and does it ease off to lightheadness and off balance and if so does it last for weeks and weeks ?

O ya one more thing ! I keep reading about fluctuating hearing loss ! what exactly does it mean by that ??? like hearing is better at one time and then not so ? I know what fluctuating means lol just not exactly what is meant when used in terms with hearing........

I just know my hearing has been crappy not noticed any changes in it whatsoever ! through any of this ordeal ......... only my eyesight has gotten worse

Hi Meeshyell,

MAV could definitely account for a lot of your symptoms.

I have suffered with the ear pain and fullness in my sinuses. I only just realised recently that it was my sinuses causing me pain too.

The nasal spray I had was Otrivine.....I didnt have any side effects whatsoever.

I really hope you get a diagnosis soon.

love

Hi Meeshyell

You're right that's exactly what it means. Your hearing loss comes and goes, so some days you hear fine (or what is normal for you) and other days it will be worse.
